CPR, AED, & Basic First Aid Certification Course (#2025-15)


The American Heart Association's (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) course trains participants to promptly recognize seeral life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). The AHA's BLS course is designed for personnel who need to know how to perform DPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive their AHA Certification.

This course will cover the following objectives:

  • Certification in the American Heart Association's BLS program
  • Successfully demonstrate the ability to recognize scene safety hazards, perform patient assessments, and implement skills in BLS care
  • Understand the importance of proper communication and team dynamics

Assessment: AHA requires that participants successfully complete practical assessments in regard to Adult CPR & AED and Infant CPR. These are Pass/Fail assessments in which specific criteria must be met or remediation followed by a reassessment is required.

Class will be held in person. Class size is limited and will be offered on a first come firest served basis. Please register today to reserve your seat. No Walk-Ins please. Should class fill up, all other registrations will be placed on a Wait List in order in which they are received. In the event of a cancellation, we will draw upon the "next in line" from the Wait List.

Individuals registered for one of our training classes, seminars, and/or conferences will be charged the class fee if we have not received notice of canellation at least 48 hours prior to the beginning of class. Anyone contacting MassRWA to cancel enrollment in a training session will receive a cancellation number. In the event of an emergency, which would prevent attendance, please contact MassRWA as soon as possible with the details.
