Automatic Control Valve Application, Service, and Maintenance (#2024-01,02)


This 4-hour class will explain what an Automatic Control Valve (ACV) is, how they work, and why they are inmportant to your water flow applications. We will also discuss their applications, service, and maintenance. At the end of this training, you will be able to:
Describe how a pressure reducing ACV works and the correct ways to install them
Discuss different ACV functions
Discuss the flow control possibilites of ACVs
Know how to troubleshoot an ACV
Discuss Preventative Maintenance Value through basic asset management
Know how to ask for help

Class will be held In-Person. class size varies by location. to allow for adequate training time for each participant, we will be watching registrations closely and gegin a Wait List for either location, if needed. Registration is on a first come first served basis.

Please Note:
1. We are reserving 5 seats for people of small systems (<10,000 population served) and need a minimum of three small systems to register for class. Any remaining seats, of these 5, that are not filled, will be filled from the Wait List in the order in which they were received. Participants will be made known if they are on the Wait List, and if they are moved to the active roster. Please don't hesitate to contact Jason should you have any questions.

Mr. Bartlett is an applicaiton Engineer for Watts Water Technologies, a leading manufacturer of quality water solutions for municipal waterworks, residential, industrial, and commercial settings. With a backgorund of mechanical design engineering, Colin specializes in Automatic Control Valves and their application within water systems to contorl pressure and flow.

Cancellation Policy:
Individuals registered for one of our training classes, seminars, and/or conferences will be charged the class fee if we have not received notice of canellation at least 48 hours prior to the beginning of class. Anyone contacting MassRWA to cancel enrollment in a training session will receive a cancellation number. In the event of an emergency, which would prevent attendance, please contact MassRWA as soon as possible with the details.
