Network Monitoring & Management: Enhancing Utilities' Operations & Planning Through Data Insights (#2025-07, -08, & -09)


This 4-hour course will explore how utilities gather critical information, such as measurements and alerts, to enhance their operations and improve situational awarness. We will focus on both water distribution and wastewater collection systems, discussing how this data-driven approach can lead to better planning and operational improvements. This class will cover:

  • Water Meters and Systems Updates/Trends
  • Network Monitoring
  • Pressure Monitoring and Leak Detection
  • Water Quality Monitoring

Registration is on a first come first served basis. Once the seating capacity is reached for each locaiton, the following registrations will be placed on the Wait List. Classes will be held In-Person.

Lunch will be provided for all locations.

Instructors:
Sean Lacaille, Solutions Architect - Badger Meter
Mr. Lacaille's background consists of 14 years in the utility industry, 12 of those years were with Sarasota County Public Utilities in various roles of responsibility, including several years as the Utilities Field Operations Manager. Seas in a licensed water distribution operator in the State of Florida and is a Certified Public Manager (CPM).

Brian Simpkiss, Solutions Architect - Badger Meter
Mr. Simpkiss joined Badger Meter as part of the acquisition of Telog in January of this year. Prior to working for Badger Meter, he held positions at Trimble, Hach, and Xylem. these positions have allowed him to assist many utioities with their water quyality, water distrbution, and collection system concerns and frustrations.

Ian Kasowitz, Vice President - Stiles Co.
Mr. Kasowitz has been with Stiles Co. for over 14 years as a Territory Manager and AMR/AMI specialist. He is passionate about knowing all of the ins and outs of the metering industry and travels to the American Water Works Association ACE conference yearly. He is an active member of several water works associations thorughout New England and passionate about educating people on all things meters.

Individuals registered for one of our training classes, seminars, and/or conferences will be charged the class fee if we have not received notice of canellation at least 48 hours prior to the beginning of class. Anyone contacting MassRWA to cancel enrollment in a training session will receive a cancellation number. In the event of an emergency, which would prevent attendance, please contact MassRWA as soon as possible with the details.
