About Mass Rural Water Association

Education and Training

MassRWA has established a comprehensive technical training program for water and wastewater operators, managers and board members.

On-Site Technical Assistance

MassRWA field representatives provide water and wastewater training and on-site technical assistance to members year round. Field representatives provide advice on such issues as preventative maintenance, leak detection, water audits, rate analysis, budgeting, personnel policies and many other topics.

Source Protection and Planning

MassRWA helps water systems and communities to understand and protect their drinking water sources by evaluating contamination issues and completing source protection plans. We also provide assistance with hydrogeologic studies, sanitary surveys and outreach to schools, watershed groups, local boards, etc.

Water and Wastewater System Mapping

MassRWA helps water systems locate their assets and map the full extent of their systems so operators can: see their systems on easy to read maps; reveal patterns, relationships, and trends that are not readily apparent in standard paper maps or data; improve planning and decision making; and track maintenance and daily operations with ready-to-use tools that improve customer relations.
