Upcoming Technology Trends in Public Works (#2022-27)


The whole world is moving online more and more, and now accelerated by the pandemic. What are the best tools to do your jobs in local government? What kind of technology should you be investing in? What protocols or trends are upcoming that you should consider leveraging? This session will deal with the basic understanding of the paradigm shift, and proive manager and operators in all ranks ideas and tool to bank on.

Class will be held Virtually on the Zoom platform. All participants will need access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone that has Zoom videoconferencing software installed, and a good internet connection. If you don’t yet have Zoom, you can sign up and download here.

Mr. Bhowmick has more than 21+ years of technical and managerial experience in business and operations, asset maintenance and management, GIS, emergency management, IT security, strategic planning, etc. He is currely the Chair of American Public Works Association (APWA) Asset Management Committee and has been advising the CxO level executives, City and District managers and department heads for a couple decases on asset managemetn, GIS, IT strategies, business continuity, technology trends, and e-governance. He has worked for many corporations including Weston, ESRI, Tata Group, founded Aktivov Asset Management and Aakavs Consulting, and has a bachelors in Civil Engineering and a masters in GIS/BIS and sustainable engineering technologies.

Individuals registered for one of our training classes, seminars, and/or conferences will be charged the class fee if we have not received notice of canellation at least 48 hours prior to the beginning of class. Anyone contacting MassRWA to cancel enrollment in a training session will receive a cancellation number.
